ArtificialMemory is a personal and enterprise semantic wiki and argumentation support system, which reflects individual or organizational memory.

The art of memory - cultivating invisible/natural artificial memory (from imagination) - reaches back to classical antiquity. It vanished, however, soon after Johannes Gutenberg invented letterprint. Since then knowledge is created and maintained mainly by using documents. Static documents, however, do not duly effect and reflect dynamic (natural/organizational) memory. While documents are highly enriching information bases, they also become the source of endless overload of depersonalized and dissociated information. The more, the worse. - Well, now is the time to move on.

Today, a paradigm-shifting change of human knowledge and information culture has become possible: networked artificial memory systems reflecting, associatively recalling, and associatively spreading thoughts. At the heart of it, some new and some proven techniques of thought-expression, information retrieval, and information organization are being combined into a universal language-thought-accompanying tool. Textual expression, language thought, argumentation, and language action are being integrated into the whole of a thought association network in tune with memory-engram structure.

ArtifialMemory represents the first generation of visible artificial memories. The result so far is a new kind of integrated knowledge management and argumentation-support system, and a corresponding method for increasing the productivity and creativity of knowledge workers and knowledge organizations.
